David has published dozens of scientific papers on the ecology and conservation biology of wildlife and is an award-winning science communicator known for his wide-ranging outreach efforts. He is also the Executive Director of The Alongside Wildlife Foundation, a non-profit he founded to promote science-based solutions to living alongside wildlife in perpetuity. He is currently the Reptile, Amphibian, and Invertebrate Research Leader of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Prior to that, he managed the research program of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
