Over $25 million has been allocated by state governments in the United States so far in 2023 to build wildlife crossings!

The first U.S. federal grant program to prevent wildlife-vehicle collisions was launched in April – meaning that with state and other money, governments could make over $430 million of wildlife-friendly improvements to the country’s roads and highways over the next 5 years!

Mexico’s Federal Executive Branch introduced a bill to prohibit mining in the country’s Natural Protected Areas!

4.
The Biden Administration released new guidance and proposed a new rule that will help promote healthy ecosystems and support better management to preserve wildlife connectivity on public lands!
5.
State legislators across the U.S. have embraced the need to fund and plan for wildlife connectivity projects, resulting in an astonishing 15 bills introduced across the country (so far!) that would help sustain wildlife!
